My wife and I recently used TCM building group in conjunction with Neil Architecture to manage our renovation in Kew. The work was from our perspective significant as it involved putting a contemporary extension onto an 1880’s Victorian home plus put in a pool, garage and work with landscape architects and gardeners to complete the ‘green’ element.
As with most families not in the building or design trade we came into this relationship very green and very much trusting the recommendation from Neil architecture. We had heard from friends all the stories of cost blow outs, shoddy work, builder’s not returning calls or finishing jobs and the list went on.
From the very first meeting with TCM our project manager delivered in every sense of the word.
He understood his business exceptionally well but more importantly managed the client side extremely well. I can’t think of a situation where he didn’t take full control and make things happen.
TCM and their team completed our renovation ahead of schedule. Although we were moderately over budget, this blow out was of our making as we amended some of the products and finishes against the original plan. When calculating the cost the TCM quote versus actual was one hundred percent accurate, a fact that still surprises friends who have recently done renovations.
The TCM team are decent guys always mindful of our family and never ending interest in viewing the progression of the work over the 8 or 9 month period.
As a client I have been equally interested in the post build follow up and access to TCM, as the reality with building is that homes settle and there will always be a few things that require attention TCM and his team really get this right.
I can highly recommend TCM and in particular the Project management skills of Vince Sainato. Vince will become a friend of the families and give you peace of mind that everything will go to plan.
